Dear Parents:
Happy Holidays to you and your family from everyone at Unalaska City School District. As we near the Thanksgiving break I wanted to remind you of the calendar for the coming week as there will be no school from Wednesday, November 23rd through Sunday, November 27th. School will be on a regular release time on Tuesday, November 22nd. We hope that you and your family enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, November 28th.
Winter break is also right around the corner with the last day of school being on December 16th. This marks the end of the first semester for all students. Unalaska City School District will again host our annual UCS winter band concert on December 5th and our holiday winter program for grades K-4 on December 7th. Both events will be in the UCS gym at 7:00 pm. We hope to see you all there.
During this holiday season, attendance continues to be important for our students. We can have the most success with your students when they are in school and actively learning. If you do need to be gone, please remember to set up an appointment with Mr. Humphrey our 5-12 principal or Ms. Tremarco our K-4 principal if your student is going to be out more than 5 days.
Finally, please remember to stay connected with UCSD activities by downloading our app in the Apple App Store or on Google Play Store. Just search for Unalaska City School District and you will be able to download the app to access lunch calendars, schedules of events, staff contacts, school documents and much more. It is a great way to know what is going on at school. You can also find all school related information on our school website at www.ucsd.net. Thank you for staying connected with us.
