Welcome Back to a New School Year!
Dear Unalaska City School District Students and Families,
I want to welcome each of you to the 2026-2027 school year at Unalaska City School District. Each new school year gives us the opportunity to start fresh and to build upon the strong groundwork that we reinforce each year.

The first day of school for all UCSD students is Thursday, August 20th. To ensure student success, it is important that students are present and on time to school each day. Start and finish times for each grade level are listed below.
Eagle's View Elementary School (EVE)
8:30 am - 2:30 pm K-2
8:30 am - 3:00 pm 3-5
8:30 am - 2:05 pm K-5 (Friday)
Unalaska City School (UCS)
8:30 am - 3:15 pm 6-12
8:30 am - 2:15 pm 6-12 (Friday)
Whether you are returning for another year or joining our district for the first time, please know that you are a key part of our school community ad we look forward to working with you.
Upcoming Important Dates:
Thursday, August 20 - First Day of School
Friday, August 28 - Back to School BBQ- 5:00 pm at Eagle's View Elementary. Open House at both EVE and UCS from 6:00-7:00 pm.
Monday, September 7 - Labor Day (No School)
