Message from the Principal

Qaggasakuqing! Salamat! Faafetai! Gracias! Sain uu!  Thank you!

Thank you!

In celebration of the holiday season, I enjoy reflecting on all that I am thankful for.   Some things that I am thankful for in our school community include but are not limited to:

  • The smiley, kind, helpful, and curious children of Eagle’s View

  • The hardworking and dedicated staff

  • Supportive families

  • Unangan Culture and Language Program

  • Swimming lessons

  • Library

  • Friday Sing Along

  • PCR after school programs and collaboration with E.V.E.

I encourage you to ask your child what they are thankful for and things that they appreciate.  It is important to develop and nurture a sense of gratitude.

Positive School Culture

In an effort to continue our positive school culture, we have continued our community sing along on Friday mornings from 8:15-8:25.  We also have a thankful tree where students can write what they were thankful for and posted it for others to read. We have continued the kindness notes on hearts this year and we have “EVE Human Shout Outs.”  Students and adults get recognized for going above and beyond. The notes are delivered to the individual and are posted on the display board near the gym. Lastly, each week there is a positive affirmation that students see when they first walk in and that is shown to them as they leave on the buses.

Holiday Concert

The holiday concert will be on Wednesday December 12th at 6pm in the big gym at UCS.  Thank you to our music teacher Mr. Spring for his hard work and preparation for this event.  Ask your child about their songs so you can share their enthusiasm. I look forward to seeing you at the performance!

I wish you health and happiness this holiday season!

With gratitude,

Principal Hinderberger
