Ms. Gurley went
to the University of Houston where she earned her degree in Business Technology.
She used to work as a secretary in a national weapons lab. She became a
teacher because she liked school and business classes so she picked a career
where she could be around those things. She has been teaching on and off
since 1981. Before coming to Alaska, she taught in Texas and in New Mexico.
She has been in Unalaska since 1998. Ms. Gurley is the business teacher and her classes include: Office Procedures, Computer Applications, Word Processing/ Spreadsheets, Keyboarding, Personal Finance, and Elementary Keyboarding. Along with spending time with her |
| family,
she enjoys long walks, reading, aerobics and dance. She is the Business
