Galena Roraback
Mrs. Roraback worked in a military factory in Russia as an interpreter before she was a teacher. She went to Tomsk University in Siberia, Russia, where she earned her Bachelors degree in German and English Languages. Mrs. Roraback taught in Russia for 11 years. She then went to the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she got her American Teacher Certificate. Later she went to the Romance Languages Institute in Durango, Mexico where she earned her Masters degree in Spanish Language and Culture. She became a teacher because it's a challenging job and she likes challenges, also because she likes to continue to learn. She came to Unalaska on February 9, 1992. In her off-time she likes to dance, read in German, Russian, and Spanish and she likes to go hiking . Mrs. Roraback runs the foreign language club for German, Russian, and Spanish. She also teaches dancing lessons. Mrs. Rorabacks favorite quote is, "Never set off things you can do today for tomorrow."
