Steven
Gregory
Mr. Gregory first came here to Unalaska
in 1975, when he was 7. He has brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews
out here in Unalaska. Mr. Gregory worked as a Harbor Officer, Construction
Worker, and a Commercial Fisherman before becoming a teacher. He went
to the University of Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Pacific University where
he earned his degree in Biology/Geology and Secondary Education. He has
taught at Chignik Lake, Sand Point, and Wendler Junior High. He became
a teacher to help young people discover and appreciate science and nature.
In his off-time Mr. Gregory likes to hike, play his guitar and exercise.
Some of his hobbies are music, mountaineering, and rock collecting. Mr.
Gregory coaches Wrestling and Basketball.Mr. Gregory's favorite quote
is "Don't Fight Forces, Use Them" by Buckminster Fuller.
