Kaia
The High School PerformanceDepartment selected Kaia as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

  • Kaia is an outstanding musician. She qualified again this year for All-State Band, and again she was in the first clarinet section. In rehearsal, Kaia is extremely accurate in her reading and plays each note as directed by the composer, then she takes the notes one step further to create something beautiful and musical. Her level of musicianship is exemplary. In class, Kaia has an extraordinary amount of patience and discipline. Outside of class, Kaia challenges herself with extra work such as solos and ensembles. She is the keystone of our woodwind section, and an ideal band student. Congratulations Kaia! Ms. Duhan, Band Director
  • Kaia is working hard at learning the game of basketball; she is always smiling and having fun. Good Job Kaia!!! Coach Haskins
Kaia is an excellent German student. She likes challenges and always strives for perfection. Kaia overcomes all the difficulties with a great smile on her face. I am really proud to have such a dedicated and talented student. It is really worth it to be a teacher if you have students like Kaia. Mrs. Roraback, Foreign Language Teacher
  • I have enjoyed coaching Kaia for the last two swim seasons. Kaia has been disciplined in her swimming and has shown great improvements. Last year she, along with three of her teammates, broke the school record for the 200yd Medley relay. This past year, Kaia continued to challenge herself and was able to break the individual 100yd Freestyle school record with a time of 1:02.31. Congratulations Kaia!! As captain of the swim team this year, Kaia has shown her great leadership abilities. I hope you pursue your swimming as you move on to college and throughout your life. I know you will continue to be successful in the future. We will miss you next year Kaia!! Coach Claire Musgrove
