The Junior High Department selected Erika as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

• Erika shows her interest in this scientific endeavor by asking the questions of science and giving thoughtful "best guesses" to those questions. Furthermore, she completes her assignments in a timely manner, presents her findings clearly, and finishes her work thoroughly. Best of all, she has a kindly disposition and encourages others in demonstrating respect for all peoples. Way to go, Erika! Mr. Paden, Science Teacher
• Erika's upbeat and caring personality helps to create a more positive junior high each and every day. She is attentive in class and completes work in both math and social studies to the highest possible level.
