Kelsey
The Principal's Pick for Student of the Week was Kelsey for the following reasons:

  • Kelsey has been selected as Unalaska City High School's delegate to the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Institute in May. Kelsey is a conscientious and hard-working student who consistently does her best in all her academic pursuits. Additionally, Kelsey is a friendly and outgoing young lady who serves as an excellent role model for both her peers and younger students. Keep up the good work, Kelsey! Mr. Conwell, Principal
  • Kelsey is to be congratulated for being such a consistently excellent student that I always automatically assume that she has been nominated as Student of the Week already. Kelsey's close attention to detail and nuance while reading ensure that her written responses reflect a mind actively grappling with constructing sense and meaning. She truly thinks about what she reads, and successfully conveys that deep level of thinking and analysis in her clear and graceful writing. My apologies for waiting until 4th quarter to recognize your academic excellence, Kelsey! Mrs. Rudio, Language Arts Teacher
  • Kelsey is a very bright, honest student who is a pleasure to work with. She is hard-working, dependable and very polite. She has a winning combination of hard work and talent in mathematics. Congratulations Kelsey! Mr. Border, Math Teacher
