Garret
The High School Performance Department selected Garret as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

  • Garret is a perpetually great student in English class, but I was also very impressed by his dedication and commitment to this year's Tsunami Bowl team practice and eventual competition in Seward, Alaska in February. He proved himself to be an essential team player, as well as an excellent ambassador for Unalaska City School. It is obvious by looking at all of the activities that Garret is involved in that he is a very well-rounded student who enjoys the challenge of participation and competition. Spitze! Ms. Rudio
  • Garret is a true asset to the NYO team. A member for four years, Garret has learned the events, comes to all practices, and gives his best effort. He is an inspiration to the younger athletes and will represent the school well at the NYO Games in Anchorage this spring. Coach Goodwin
  • Garret has really poured on the gas this year with his trombone playing! He practices regularly and is continually developing his sound into a strong, ideal trombone sound. Recently, Garret was awarded first chair for the 2007 Regional Honor Band, and will be traveling in late April to attend the festival. Congratulations Garret! Mrs. Duhan
  • Garret is doing a super job in CADD. He is working hard on the Architectual Unit learning to use AutoCad as it relates to designing a house. Good job Garret and keep up the great work. Mr. Haskins
