Samuel
The Junior High Department selected Samuel as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

  • Samuel is an outstanding member of the junior high. He continually strives to not only do well, but to the very best on every assignment. Samuel’s understanding of historical and cultural concepts is admirable. He has set high goals for himself and more importantly is willing to put in the hard work to make them a reality. Keep up the good work Samuel. Mr. Wilson, Junior High Social Studies
  • Samuel shows qualities that reach beyond the usual: He remains dissatisfied until he has given ideas a thorough hearing. He examines questions from several points of view until he grasps the whole; then he launches his own solution. His reasoning tends to be unassailable within the confines of his research. He presents oral discussion with assurance born of study, and states written thoughts with clarity arising from comprehension. Press on, Samuel! Mr. Paden, Science Teacher
  • Sam is an outstanding member of our junior high band. He is a strong and confident player who is developing a great upper range on the instrument. He is accurate with counting rhythms and he participates with high expectations of himself and shows the discipline necessary to become a great player! Congratulations Sam! Ms. Duhan, Band Director
