Allison
The Principal's Pick for Student of the Week was Allison for the following reasons:

  • Allison is a solid student who challenges herself by taking and doing well in the most rigorous courses offered at Unalaska City High School. Allison is consistently kind and respectful to all in the school community. Her teachers appreciate Allison's willingness to help out whenever needed. Have a great summer, Allison. You deserve it! -Mr. Conwell, Principal
  • Allison is someone who truly thinks about the world we all live in, but it's abundantly evident to me from her writing and commentary in American Literature that she also thinks a great deal about the world--or worlds--that could be. An imaginative and speculative thinker, Allison is also extremely independent, yet willing to listen to alternative arguments or propositions. She is an excellent and bona fide Student of the Week! Ms. Rudio, English Teacher
  • Allison has had an outstanding year in music. She was the All-State Band runner up on Baritone Saxophone, placing her second in the state, and then qualified for State Solo and Ensemble. She has been a great teacher's aide, and is a strong anchor in our high school band as a low reed player. Congratulations Allison! Mrs. Duhan, Band Director
  • Allison is an outstanding, dependable student. She maintains high academic standards while being a member of many student groups and activities. Mr. Border, Math and Science Teacher.
