The Junior High School Department selected Lauryn as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

• Lauryn has really transformed herself into a fine student who is continually at the top of her class on all work. She is a hard working student who is willing to put in the necessary time to be a great student. Great job Lauryn and keep up the good work. Mr. Wilson, Junior High Social Studies
• Lauryn Mendoza optimizes effort and makes time for her studies in math and science. Her work excels; her diligence is unsurpassed. Her mind seeks to understand ideas, complex ideas, until they make sense. Lauryn, keep on thinking and working - you're doing well! Mr. Paden, Science and Math
• Lauryn is a hard working student who consistently goes above and beyond expectations in the English classroom. Mr. Sweenhart, English
• Lauryn is developing into a strong French horn player. She is a vital member of our junior high band and, as the only horn player in our band, she does a great job as an independent performer. Keep up the good work Lauryn! Mrs. Duhan, Band Director
