The Junior High Department selected Roy as Student of the Week for the following reasons:

• Roy is always polite, focused, and on task. I appreciate the attention and effort he is putting into his work. Mr. Sweenhart
• Roy presents himself a solid young man intent to make a different and better world from the one he entered. He shows an easy smile. He studies hard. He wants to know science. He does good work. Upward, Roy! Never, never give up. Mr. Paden
• Roy is unfailingly polite, respectful and dedicated to his studies. His growth over the previous 2 years has been phenomenal. Roy's hard work and determination to succeed have placed him at the top of his class in both Pre-Algebra and American History. Great job Roy and keep up the good work. Mr. Wilson
