Aidee
The Principal's Pick for Student of the Week is Aidee for the following
reasons:
- Aidee is a great choice for student of the week. She
is a fine example of a hard working student who also finds time for
friends and younger nieces and nephews. I can count on her to do her
best. Ms. Wolf, Marketing Teacher
- Aidee is an excellent role model in and out of the
classroom. A strong leader, she is conscientious in all she does, and
a polite, yet assertive, student. Aidee recently took several awards
in the Unalaska Student Art Show, won the ASAG Poster contest, and was
accepted into the ASAA All State Art Competition. Ms. Goodwin, Art Teacher
- Aidee is a great student in the Advanced Spanish class
who is always on time, never misses a class, and is a great help to
other students. Aidee received a gold medal in the Spanish State Competition
(native speaker category). Aidee is very high caliber student, both
in her work and her attitude. Mrs. Roraback, Foreign Language Teacher
- Never content to merely cruise along and "get
by on getting by," Aidee Rodriguez is an excellent student who
takes her education very seriously; consistently firing on every single
mental cylinder and putting her whole heart and soul into everything
she undertakes. Without a doubt, Aidee is one of the finest and most
hard-working students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching, and
it is only because I thought she had already been nominated in the fall
that I didn't proffer her name as Student of the Week prior to this.
She deserves the highest of praise, no matter how late in coming! Ms.
Rudio, Language Arts Teacher
- This past month Aidee entered a state-wide art poster
competition which the Alaska Association of Student Governments was
sponsoring. The theme was bridging the rural and urban divide. During
the judging I heard many comments about Aidee's creative talent. She
ultimately took first place for the whole state in the poster competition.
Her design will be used as a logo to help bridge the rural-urban divide.
Nicely done, Aidee. You have brought honor to our school. Mr. Reilly,
Social Studies Teacher
- Aidee Rodriguez is a talented and hard working young
lady who has excelled in academics, sports, and the arts, all while
mastering English as her second language. Aidee is a role model for
her peers, and for younger students. Keep up the great work, Aidee!
-Mr. Conwell
