Erika

The High School Performance Department nominates Erika as student of the week for the following reasons:

  • Erika is an extraordinarily hard worker. She uses her creativity as well as her knowledge to solve difficult problems. She is a consistently exceptional student!" - Mr. Border, Math Teacher
  • Erika listens attentively, asks questions when necessary, and applies herself to mastering whatever material is being presented. In her free time, she is an avid film-viewer who also reads voraciously, and frequently makes connections between those information sources and what she is studying in school. She is truly a pleasure to have in class! - Ms. Rudio, English Teacher
  • Erika is an exceptionally gifted art student with the self-discipline needed to consistently produce quality art. She eagerly tries new media and absorbs information like a sponge. I am very excited as she is beginning to incorporate her Japanese culture into her art work as she masters new techniques. - Mrs. Goodwin, Art Teacher
  • Erika's strenghths include her creativity. This can be seen in her problem solving in Science, Math as well as Art and Writing. She does not take the easy way out. She looks for creative solutions that will satisfy her as well as the assignment. - Ms. Wolf, ESL Teacher
