Selection Criterion Rubric

Honor Society Selection Criterion Rubric

Student ______________________Grade___________ Teacher___________________

Selection criteria - starts with your Scholarship. You can't even be considered without a certain GPA - 85% or 3.0. (If the Faculty Council decides to weight grades in recognition of the varying degrees of difficulty of courses of study, this weighting should be accomplished prior to the determination of the cumulative GPA in order, once again, to identify all students who have met the scholastic criteria prior to consideration of their leadership, service, and character.) The Faculty Council can change the basic selection of 3.0.

A score of 106 on the following rubric is 85% of the total points.

Character is probably the most difficult criterion to define. The Faculty Council will consider the positive as well as the negative aspects of character. A person of character demonstrates the following six qualities:
1. respect,
2. responsibility,
3. trustworthiness,
4. fairness,
5. caring and
6. citizenship.
