Is Art Club?"
Art Club is a school sponsored
Club activity just like any other.Students raise money to travel
at the end of the school year, and give scholarships to graduating
Art students.
"How
Do They Raise All That Money?"
Students raise the money
by planning fundraisers like dances, dinners, and car washes.
They also open the school store, 3 times a day, which sells snack
type food and drinks.
A personal note from Cyri
Thompson, the 2007 Art Club President.
"For the past 3 years,
I have slowly moved up in the status ranks of Art Club, now spending
my Senior year as Art Club President. Now that this slightly heavy
burden rests on my shoulders, I hope to end this year with a bang,
or splash of paint, if you will. Though I am disappointed that
we won't be going anywhere new, it will be a nice opportunity
to travel again."
