A Little Bit About Mrs. Scott

Mrs. Scott was brought to Dutch Harbor/Unalaska by her husband, five years ago. The first two years after her arrival to town, Mrs. Scott began working as a preschool teacher and later as an ESL teacher. In 2005, she decided to be a first grade teacher, and this year (2007-2008) is her third year teaching the first grade; her second in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska. Mrs. Scott comes from a medium sized family, who have mostly all been teachers too. She was born and raised on a farm where they took care of baby calves. Mrs. Scott's husband, Matt Scott, is an electrician for Western Power, and he has been living in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska for six years. They don't have any children of their own yet, but they still enjoy living in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska, and she states that they are "lifers." Mrs. Scott graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor's Undergraduate Degree and she just finished her Master's Degree in teaching and reading, from the University of Florida, online. Ever since Mrs. Scott has been in high school, she has known that she wanted to dedicate her life to younger children and she enjoys every day of teaching our little ones her in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska.
