Carol Norstadt is an Elementary teacher who moved to Alaska in 1983. She has taught in various places in Alaska including 12 years in the Northwest Arctic. She loves exploring the vast wilderness of Alaska, and thinks Alaska is the most beautiful state in the country.
    Ms. Norstadt became a teacher because she enjoys working with children. Her interest in literacy led to the pursuit of a Master's degree in reading and literacy. She also enjoys living and working in remote areas as a teacher. Besides spending time in various outdoor pursuits, Ms. Norstadt enjoys playing music and spending time with good friends.
