Meet
Ms. Heather Hawkins
Ms.
Hawkins is a single, young, fun, adventurous, woman and teacher. She arrived
to Unalaska/Dutch Harbor during the summer of 2007, from Utah where she
lived at for six years, however she grew up in Alabama. In Utah, she was
a second and third grade teacher, and now in Unalaska she is a fourth
grade teacher. Ms. Hawkins graduated from Jackson State University with
an Exercise Science Degree, and from the University of Phoenix with a
Masters in Elementary Education; she also has an ESL endorsement. In her
free time she says she loves to be outdoors, hiking, biking, running,
and swimming, and seeing new places. She says she also loves teaching.
Ms. Hawkins says, "I love kids, how fun they are, their spontaneity,
and how their brains are like sponges, just absorbing everything one teaches
them."
