Nii}u}im Tunugan Ilakuchangis. Introduction to Atkan Grammar and Lexicon. Anchorage: National Bilingual Materials Development Center. 237 pp.

 

Two major sections, Elements of Atkan Aleut Grammar, pp.11-83; Junior Dictionary, 85-237. Grammar was written by Bergsland in July 1977 as a teacher's aid, for the Aleut speaking teacher, illustrating grammatical concepts by examples rather than by discussion and rules. Dictionary includes 1,500 main entries with derived forms, total ca. 2,500 items, selected from more extensive dictionary (Bergsland 1973d); each entry with sentence exemplification, and arranged alphabetically by Aleut.
